"Can We Go Back": New Live Video!

Crissi Cochrane

It’s been such a wonderful couple of days riding the wave of good words about “Can We Go Back”! Thank you so much to all who have liked, commented, and shared the song. You can find it on your favourite streaming platforms, and the official music video is up on both YouTube and Facebook.

Today, I’m releasing a brand-new live video of the song, filmed on our back steps where we captured some of the main shots of the video. I love the idea of creating a live video of the song in the same setting where the music video was captured - something that we did for the Drive All Night music video years ago.

This was filmed on the morning of Sunday, August 9, around 9am. You’d think that would be a nice, quiet time to record something outdoors - but surprisingly, not quite! A few blasts from a nail gun made it into this recording, courtesy of the roofers one street over. I guess the cooler temperature made it really ideal for yard-work, because I also had to stop throughout the recording to wait for a hedge trimmer, leaf blower, or neighborly chat to subside before picking up where I left off in the song. But I’m pretty pleased that I managed to comp together this video as though I didn’t stop several times!

“Can We Go Back” has received some nice press, for which I’m very glad - The Windsor Star ran a piece about the song on Sunday, Eyes on Windsor published my media release, and CBC Windsor Morning aired an interview with me on Friday morning. I believe there’ll be some photos of me with the story in the Tuesday edition of the Windsor Star as well, so stay tuned for that, if you’re a subscriber to the print version!

In other news, this week I’ll be preparing for my next live-stream, this Saturday, August 22, and recording this week’s episode of the Soul City Music Co-op podcast as soon as I can carve enough time and energy out of my schedule to get it done.

Once more, thank you for all your kindness and support!
