Dark electric

Last month, I signed up for SoundBetter, and within days, I was down in our basement studio, recording backing vocals for an artist based out of Sweden. That collaboration is officially out now - the energetic and driving single “Dark electric” from Da’Moon. The tune has already racked up an impressive 13,300 plays on SoundCloud, and is currently featured on the Current House & EDM playlist on Spotify.
While “Dark electric” is the first single from Da’Moon, the artist himself, Anders Ekblad, has also been releasing music under a different moniker, Mikäel.
I asked him to tell me a bit about what inspired the song, and he explained that “the song has a unique Thelma and Louise theme, which is all about leaving everything behind and setting off for the adventure of a lifetime.” It definitely feels like an appropriately positive song to lift spirits in these weird and unnerving times.
